They would behave worse, spend more money, suffer more casualties than the British and and have to leave "Pronto".

This question is unsettling. It shows the fear that foreign countries have as they watch the antics of the Bush Administration. No country feels completely safe, as the world's remaining superpower has lost all compassion and become a marauding giant, led by bloodlusting warhawks.

There is no reason for the U.S. to attack India. First, it would be a nuclear war, because both countries have nuclear power. It would undoubtedly end up in the annihilation of the globe, a vast cloud of doom and death settling over much of the world and blown by the winds across the seas.

The day has come for leaders to think twice before they go to war, and at least wait for a vicious attack by another country before doing so. After 9/11, we had reason to go into Afghanistan, but not a single reason to invade Iraq at that time. A few scant years before, Saddam....the same grisly dictator he was at his death...was our best friend. There was no imminent danger, no reason at all for that invasion.

Take Viet Nam, for instance. Thousands of men...my two nephews included...suffering from ailments they can't pin down. Cancers, stomach problems, hair loss, dental problems, strokes, headaches....all from the weapons that stripped the leaves from the trees and flayed the flesh from bodies and left a lingering and deadly miasma in the air. We don't know yet what our Iraqi and Afghanistan troops will suffer, to say nothing of the citizens of these countries.

Yet here we have this congregation of utter fools eager to test their Divine weapons on other countries. No wonder India might be a bit nervous. No wonder we are looked upon as beastly invaders by most of the civilized world. We haven't enough sense to call a halt to these overly aggressive leaders who have made such a mess of the world.

It is the dream of a person suffering from indigestion!
How dare the US-led coalition that has got its face blackened and nose bleeding beecause of immoral war on Iraq, dare invade and dream of occupying India?
Uncle sam was made to run out of N.Korea, kicked out of Vietnam and got entangled in Afghanistan and Iraq. The writing on the wall is "Uncle! Asia is not your meat!"
Lastly,at a time whenTaliban is reorganising and gaining strength in Afghanistan and Pak is in a melting pot, if US-led combine were to invade India, the latter would be forced to teach it a fitting lesson.

This is a mere imagination. If the US could directly invade India, why does it take the help of Pakistan, a country that can give nothing in return to the US?

India is protected by God and by the powerful tapasya of the Rishis living in this country and by the sincere devotion of the numerous devotees inhabiting this holy land. No one can defeat India. Of course, some countries may torment India for some time. The tormentors will meet the fate of Hiranyakashipu, you see -- they will be split apart when their punya is exhausted.

Why in hell would America even conceive of the idea to invade an economic and strategic ally?

No US-led coalition has invaded any country that was not in need of a regime change due to its terrorist or inhumane dealings.

This is a highly hypothetical query. First it will never happen. Even it is attempted US or for that matter any other Country will learn a bitter lesson within a few hours that India is not Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan or Iraq and find how difficult it is to extricate themselves from clutches of India, like holding the tiger's tail!

I think they'd probably win the initial war, but then they'd have a hard time holding it. Much like the British did in the waning days of their empire.

Of course, I don't know exactly WHY the U.S. would ever consider invading India. Aren't we supposed to be friends?

If it became ordered i might guess the army might propose against it and then persist with orders as they have too. i could be long and bloody, in military words Iraq isn't bloody the casualty fee isn't very intense in any respect, yet think of in terms of Normandy, Iwo Jima, conflict of the Bulge kind casualty expenditures. the army could be bled dry and finally might lose Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq with Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel following quickly after. it ought to actual carry approximately a lots wider conflict as China and Russia the two does in contrast to us in Pakistan and perilous the southern borders greater they sense we at the instant are. in case you're conversing air strikes-if the Pakistani government formally and publicly asked it then shall we try this; the concern there is they can't try this and stay in potential long term. in short it won't happen except some one without sense of the army or basic sense gets elected.

Another junk question. Americans in their wildest dream would not dare to think what you have scripted. To invade such a vast country, with such pluralistic society in terms of religion, languages, customs, culture and terrain, and to administer effective control is impossible task. It is not Iraq or Afghanistan or Pakistan for that matter.
