I was hanging around with a group of my new friends, who seem pretty comfortable in being gay and everything, when we I was introduced to a guy who my friend commented that she "doesn't care what people say about him, he's a good guy." Anyways, long story short I found out he likes younger guys, and is gay, and he was older.

I was just wondering if there was a way to approach him? Is this normal to like older guys?

Gay or straight is the same: there is no age for love. I fell in love for a man 17 yrs older than me and we're so happy together. It's not a matter of age, but of feelings, ways of thinking, things in common -- activities, interests, knowledge -- and just feeling comfortable in one another's company.

If there's a way you can both meet at another party/reunion it would be a good chance for you to approach him and start asking about him and his life just to see if you 2 are compatible and it can lead to something else..... good luck.

It's perfectly normal for him to like younger guys, and for you to find an older guy attractive. Do you enjoy each other's company? Are you happy with each other? Age should not make a difference. Good luck and have FUN!

Send him a note or a card, or just invite him to meet you somewhere for supper. I'm sure you find you have lots in common with one another.

Is it really a challenge for a young man to be picked up by an older gay man? Is there any fear that the older dude will throw you back because you're too young?

My only comment would be wanting to know if you are over the legal age limit for consentual interaction. If you are under 18, you could make real problems for this guy if your parents find out and don't approve. Please be careful and think things through before you act.

How much older are you talking about? I would just approach him like any other guy!

It's very common. Try to know him better and then decide whether you want to tell him about your fondness of him or not. Go with what your heart tells you.

Throw a rock through his window!

Just kidding....;)

Maybe your 'mutual friend' can invite you both out for 'coffee'...?
