My sister named her daughter Zoelle Payton!! I love it when you say it, but it looks hard to pronounce!

How many of you would pronounce it Zo-elle or Zoey-elle if you were to take a guess??

I agree with you all i would have pronounced it Zo-elle too!! But she actually pronounces it Zoey-elle or if you say it faster its more like Zo-yell! We call her Zoey though so i guess its okay! My daughter is Isabelle and we call her Elle so that nickname was off limits!

Well i agree again! Elle does make masculine names feminine but lyn does too! And her other name choice was Emmalyn so i guess its just her taste!

Zoe-elle makes no sense. -elle is added to masculine names to make them feminine. It is French. i.e. Daniel becomes Danielle, Michel becomes Michelle, etc. Zoe is already a girl's name. Why add -elle? Makes your sister seem a bit... well...let's be diplomatic and say she's not too well-read, hm?

I really like the name Zoey I guess it's a good nickname for it, I also like Elle=D! Well I woulda said it Zo-elle, but it looks pretty, Zoelle. It's very unique and if she ever decides she doesn't like it, she could go by Payton!

I would say Zo-elle

It is pretty said aloud but a little awkward written out. I like it though. Very easily shortened to Zo, Zoe, Zoie, Zoey (however you want to spell/pronounce those;) ) or just Elle or Ellie.

I would pronounce it Zo-elle because I have a cousin who's named Joelle and it's pronounced Jo-elle. It's a gorgeous name. Have fun with your new niece!

I would pronounce it Zo-elle, just like Noel. It's a very cute name though!

I would never guess "Zoey-elle" because of the natural sound of the "elle" at the end. And to me, "Zoey-elle" doesn't make a lot of sense for some reason. :)
