Hai it depends, if you play for yourself than there is no hope of winning the world cup, but if you play as a team and for the country you can make it with any team. Take the case of our 1983 team they came from no were to lift the cup, it shows their potential and team spirit, they did not have the facilities and sponsorship the current generation of cricketers are enjoying. I think it is impossible for india to produce a team like 1983 world cup team, because the current generation plays for fame and self-benefit. Take the case of Australia, see their professional approach to the game. We have to learn a lot from the Australian approach to the game. See now we have facilities to breed fast bowler, but what happened to the spin bowling, we lack very much in this area, india was famous for spin, spin bowling is a great art, it needs a lot application and effort to play spin bowling. Our batsmen were once upon a time known to be sultans of playing spin bowling, todays generation does not know how to play a top class spin bowler. Once again would like mention that it all depends on the atitude of the players whether we will win the world cup or not.

No. India will never win as long as they keep playing as individuals. It's a team sport but one would not think so by watching India play.

Their players are always squabbling - & worrying where their next endorsement dollar is coming from rather than concentrating on the team as a whole.

They always crash when the big World Cup matches come round.

They can win if they play better cricket. Not only India, all the top teams have a chance to win the world cup.

Of course they can - if they carry their Test form against England into the Cup. Let's see how the ODI series goes in England first. If India can lose a game or two in this series and still bounce back, they might prove they have what it takes.

Even Bermuda can win the WC, in theory.
It is extremely early to predict WC winners of 2011, it is 4 full years away, besides who knows the changes to teams that will take place between now and then?
We will be in a much better position to answer this question (although I would have loved to know the answer NOW) come early 2011.

Seeing as we talk's overall performance that's suggested that Australia will win worldwide cup 2011.in spite of the undeniable fact that it fairly is a protracted time to pass, not something could nicely be suggested yet yet I could desire to declare some thing. In Australian group,G McGrath has been retired and that i think of until eventually ultimately next WC Ponting,Gilchrist,Hayden,Symonds additionally will retire that are the backbone of Austrslia as we talk. So,India actually have an excellent gamble to return forward to tutor their superb overall performance with the aid of fact childrens are changing formers and that they are doing nicely. case in point-Karthik,Dhoni,Uthappa,Raina,and so on.

They'll have to buck the trend of every previous campaign and qualify for a change. You've got a tough first encounter against Lebanon.
