Wanted to know whats the best thing to use until I can get a seal put in if thats the case. Cant see where its leaking from though. I`m wondering if its coming out when we drive the truck,or when it gets hot. You can see I`m no mechanic, but I really need some help please.

Manual transmissions leak out of the 3 shifter rubber plugs up on top of the gear box. Or is it a automatic? Those 3 rubber plugs cost about 85 cents each and are simple to pull the old ones out and push in the new ones just top off the gear oil when your are done.

Fix the leak. Anything that would plug a leak would screw up the transmission.

Lucas automatic transmission sealer is a good "stop gap" product to use while your waiting for a final repair.
