I don't believe it should be because ever since I was a child in the 60's it seems this country has been in conflict with one or more neighbouring countries. I think Jersuselm is so important to Islam, Judaism and Christianity it can not be possed by one single country. I'm not political and don't know the historical context in which Israel came into being, but I understand they think it's the promised land. With that much conflict I don't think so somehow.

Of course Israel shouldn't be the Jewish homeland. And to all those who disagree: Europeans stole North America from the native Indians; would you suggest we give it back to them?

If anyone should have made reparations to Jews, it should have been the Germans. Besides, most Jews didn't want to live in Israel anyway - they wanted to live in America. Which could just be part of the reason why there are more Jews in America than there are in Israel.

Your question makes 3 assumptions. a million. The Jewish human beings have a non secular declare to the land. 2. it is the only way they justify there presence there. 3. by using doing so as that they exclude all others from the land. factor one i won't be in a position to communicate because of the fact i do no longer skinny equipment is contested. factor 2 and 3 are incorrect. you're assuming Israel merely cam in and took over the land and now they ought to justify it. traditionally that's no longer what hap pend. There has continually been a Jewish presence interior the land of Israel. continually. different than that Jews residing interior the land offered the final public of the land they moved into. keep in mind that interior the early 1900's there the place no longer even a million million human beings there now the are notably much ten. So on the time no person became kicking everybody els out of there land. No we could forward slightly to 1947. The UN proposed a plan. Israel became meant to get in ordinary terms the land the place that they had the final public of the land - and the arabs the place that they had the final public. No conquering or something. Israel became to get the place that they had a majority inhabitants. The Jews jumped at opportunitynity to settle for the deal and declIndependencendec. The Arabs collectivla incednced a war. for this reason THe borders have been extremely altered forom the unique plan. yet no longer by using lots. back THe Jewish state became based the place the Jewish human beings held the mojority inhabitants. NO colonialazation or something. with regard to assumption 3 below Israeli rule there is reigious freedom for the 1st time interior the land for 2,000 years. Muslums, Christians, Jews and others walk around freally in all of Israel. THeonly exeption is that Jews can not pray on the temple mount. So properly Israel has a biblical ideal to the land, all others are welcome there besides.

The big 3 religions have been fighting over that land for as long as they've all existed so for about 5000 years. The Christians joined the fight later (1100 AD).

Could you have the city and surrounding holy areas be independent with no government? Could you give it to the Swiss (a traditionally neutral country) and let them administer it? Either way there would still be battles over it. Each group wants it as their own.

It's really too bad considering each religion claim to being descendants of Abraham (with Christianity being an off-shoot of Judism).

Israel is a inhabited by a Jewish majority population. That is not going to change any time soon.

Given that Jews are a minority in the world and they have suffered a lot, I think it seems reasonable that they have one country to call their own.

Actually I think Israel should be all the middle east, then they would stop taking money from other countries because we feel sorry for them, and the cost of gasoline would drop because they are not supposed to live as kings like the present holders of that country does.

It's a bit late to take it away now. Whether or not it was a good decision to reform the country or not, it is there now. All parties involved should either participate in peaceful resolution or just accept it and get on with their lives.

Jews belong in Judah if it were told. That is the only homeland. US and UK triggered creation of Isreal at end of WW2 and let it be handled (poorly) through the UN. Been a disaster.

The bible does say "The holy one of Israel", I do (subconsciously even) consider it the chosen land. It is what it is, and Israel is the victim of location. They fight over it because IT IS the representation of Christ on earth. And because I believe in Christ and the story of Adam & Eve , I believe we are all brothers and sisters in God's (wonderful) eyes, with that said, it doesn't matter what our intellect has named ourselves. We belong to God.
