Unplug the wire to the compressor and see if the fuse still blows. If it does, it;'s a shorted clutch wire. If it doesn't it's a bad clutch.

First make sure 10 amps is the correct fuse, maybe it should be higher. It could be time for a new clutch though.

one of two things - First the electro magnet that pulls the clutch plate into compressor could have overheated and shorted out. Second your compressor has gone out. To check about the compressor you can see if you can turn the front clutch plate by hand (with motor off of course) if it turns freely chances are it is the coil (electro magnet) if not your compressor is gone and it is going to be expensive to replace - compressor, drier, flush, oil, refrigerant (some will be recycled) gaskets, labor, etc. good luck

a user-friendly reason for this could nicely be a worn grasp bearing. The worn bearing facilitates the pulley to pass to the area and it wears via the insulation for the electromagnet grounding the coil. get rid of the belt and rock the pulley to work out if it rocks excessively. If it does get rid of the pulley and look on the electromagnet wiring for a bare spot. placed some silicone on the bare spot and replace the grasp bearing. The bearing is below $25 in case you're able to do it your self or have a chum help.
