they haven't signed him to a deal yet and he is not going to play a down til he gets a huge portion of his deal in guaranteed money. they say they are not even close to a deal so may be some time til you see him.

that's the reason JaMarcus Russell held out so long after the draft. He replaced into forcing the Raiders to characteristic that to his settlement as a stipulation. nicely a minimum of he have been given what he asked for. Thumbs as much as those that agree. Tyshizzle - loosen up bro. It replaced into purely a shaggy dog tale to help pass the time in the offseason. maximum anybody isn't taking it heavily. It shouldn't remember who's group is extra advantageous with the aid of fact it fairly is a controversy of opinion and has no relevance in this shaggy dog tale. You quoted which you're able to "merely look like an excellent douche speaking $hit some extra advantageous group than my own". Assuming you're a Raider fan, a million prevailing pastime distinction isn't an significant distinction to declare they're extra advantageous than the Browns. The Browns had a extra durable schedule and the two had undesirable dropping seasons. On top of that, you nevertheless poked insults after saying you would be an excellent douche bag. nicely i assume you fairly call it like it fairly is and that i agree. i'm not attempting to reason any drama, yet i'm hoping you realize that the soccer section is crammed with humorous people and no you could actually dictate what can and could not be asked. do exactly not answer the question in case you don't like it.

I'm sick of people slamming J. Russel. The Raiders had months and months to get this thing done. They had the first pick in the NFL Draft! That is the benefit of having the first pick! If they didn't want to pay the huge contract they shouldn't have taken a QB, or should have traded down and got more players.
J. Russell is looking out for his future. No first round pick in the past 10 years has signed a contract without a skill gaurantee and the Raiders are trying to deny him that and are trying to back load his signing bonus to the end of his contract...so if he ends up playing well and signs an extension he essientially losses most of his gauranteed money.
The Raiders are playing every dirty trick in the game. Either sign the kid or trade him to a team that could really use him. My team the Buccaneers should offer to trade a first rounder and maybe an additional pick to bring him in.
He's asking for a little bit more than what Mario Williams got last year...but fact of the matter is that he is a Franchise QB and expects to be paid as such. Like I said they had months to work out contract details. They could've taken Calvin Johnson or traded down and got multiple players to improve their joke of a team.

Russell isn't even a Raider yet....he's still holding out....I'm sick of these rookies thinking they deserve more money than most of the starting QBs in the league...Russell wont start any games this season until all of the other QBs on the depth chart fail to perform...but Culpepper looks like he's healthier this season and could hold onto the job for at least half of the season...Russell will have to watch from the bench because of his holdout....

first of all, because hes not that great. plus hes only human and he hasn't been there for like a month where as dunte culpepper has. even if the raiders sign him (which whould be retarded at which the price he wants them to pay) he would be wayyy behind in the playbook and that is huge for a quarterback. he may be able to study the playbook rite now but it is wayy different with moving bodies, plus he'll be in worse shape then most of the players on his team, which is never good for a quarter back who is goin' to be running for his life. if russell was smart he would sign but hes thinking of money rite now when he really should be thinking of his carrer. when ( and if) he signs oakland is goin' to make him look worse because hes a rookie and hes not goin' to be used to all the pressure he will have on him, from the media and the other team's defencivelinemen. o ya and the reason they won't have him on first string is because he is a rookie and they think donte is better than him

The raiders "Arnt" starting him because he has yet to be signed. Even if he where signed, the likelihood of him starting would be minimal. Like most Rookies in the NFL it will take him a year or so to adjust to the speed of the game at this level. The good news is that he has the talent and raw athletic ability to be a Pro-Bowl caliber Q.B.

Russell is asking for a huge contract that would pay him more than some veteran Pro-Bowl players; looks like he might sit out the whole season. The NFL should put in a rule, like the NBA, that limits how much a first round rookie can make.

he's a holdout because he isn't looking forward to the sack parade that recent oakland qb's have been given
