My opinion is yes because almost all actresses are pretty like lets say cameron diaz she hadnt took any acting classes before and she go the part of the girl in the mask and she did bad acting in the movie so whats your opinion and thanks..

Looks are important for actors. They have to be interesting enough for casting directors to think they might fit a role.
There are many ways to be attractive other than by beauty. Being a nice person is one. Successful actors have to be nice people.

Absolutely not. I think you might mean a Leading Lady or Lead Actress. Even then it still depends upon a given role.Meryl Streep, Whoopie Goldberg, Barbara Streisand, Shirley Booth, Kathy Bates are all Academy Award Winners but not necessarily pretty. That shoots down your theory.

It is true that pretty people tend to be cast easier than less pretty ones. On the other hand most directors and casting agents are looking for the person who will do the role best.

It isnt about your looks its about your personality and your talent! Im a actress (not famous) but i have been given call backs to be on ITV!
If your really good and you become rich & famous you can always have botox! (LOL!)
But thats why all the other actresses are pretty!

Look at me, I am 16 Been acting for 6 years, and i think im ugly.. But the girls say im 'Sexy' / 'Fit' But you can make that decision for yourself..

No you don't have to be pretty (or handsome if male). Some of the most charismatic actors who have captured my heart (on stage), have not necessarily been the best looking ones (off stage). They are lucky to have that special undefinable thing.

no. you don't HAVE to be pretty, its better to be pretty though because more people will like you and you will get more attention
