What do you think is the best (OTC) prenatal vitamin, and why do you think so?

I buy mine at Wal-Mart and found it to be very helpful for my hair (I'm taking it for non-pregnancy reasons and my doctor said it was ok).

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

What you really want to look for in an OTC prenatal vitamin is the amount of folic acid. You need to be taking at least 1mg of folic acid a day to help with neurotubular defects in your child (ex: spina bifida). You will probably need to take a folic acid supplement along with any prenatal vitamin because none contain 1mg.
