AWOL this saying means that if your loud and out spoken you will get attention where as if you fit in with the crowd and are quite you will get overlooked. A squeaky wheel gets the attention because it stands out.

When I feel I need to be, yes I am, however, one good lesson is to know when to keep ones mouth shut!

Hmmm....my car squeaks really loudly when I turn the steering wheel at low speeds, and people point and laugh... so it does get me attention!!

But seriously, I've never heard that expression before, what does it mean?

EDIT - thanks for the explantion!! In that case, I am definitely a squeaky wheel sometimes, if a subject comes up I feel strongly about then I have to have my say, but I'm not like that all of the time, I try to moderate myself! I could say I am at both ends of the spectrum, depends on my mood!

Squeaky wheels right here on earth would get the attention first, yet i might say the committed ones get the attention first. yet who comprehend how God works, in no way ought to parent Him out, and that i do no longer even try.

yes the squeaky wheel does get the most attention but when they are continually acting in this manner its boring for the observer.

If I had a squeaky wheel on my car, I would certainly give it my immediate attention.
No, I don't seek attention, I prefer to be in the background.

I believe the proper term is "Squeeky wheel gets the greese!"

True when working with people who hav more to manage than time on their hands.
The way I think most people would like to life their lives is "Best things come to those who wait." where you are rewarded for your patience.
