Airhead. Flake. Bubble. Sh-it- for Brains. Ditz. Out to Lunch. Space Case. They all boil down to the right thing and I certainly would not call someone my friend if that is what they called me.
He thinks your an idiot and ignorant.
I'm not sure why you make the connection to air and astronomy though, since astronomy studies space and related topics and their is no air in space.
Airhead would be closer to calling a person a flake or the kind of person that "dumb blond" jokes are about.

OK I don't know who is Airhead here, because if you like Astronomy/Astrophysics it means you like science and a smart thinking person, and he is the Airhead, if thats the case an Airhead calling a smart person an Airhead, the one who calls you that is an ***.
