i have already tried to obtain the IP add automatically and repairing the connection. It keeps saying it can't connect to the network.

Even if I place my laptop beside the router and says "connected",,, you still can't do anything online.

What is the problem? Please help. Thanks~

What do you do if the ip add is 169.XXX? and has "limited or no connectivity" but the signal is good/excellent?

...thanks for the suggestions, but I've tried restarting.. my sis' can go online on her laptop with eeeaase (we have a password, but it's also automatically provided).. so i'm guessing there's something i need to do on my laptop... either configure it or .... just throw it to the dogs..

There are many reasons for this, just turn off your modem and open it again, if not restart your computer. Norton internet security sometimes dons't let you connect to unsecured networks. Keep clicking disconnect and connect. It happends to me alot and then it works

the easiest thing to do is to reset the router back to factory defaults then restart your network starting with the cable/dsl modem wait until it's linked up then pwr up the wi-fi router then your PC and try to connect
