First of all, please don't buy any feeders or vacation block

They will do more harm then good, and will mess up your well conditioned tank in no time. They will pollute your tank, and you may have to start all over again

just clean your tank as your routine is and feed them just as you would normally, that way your tank doesn't get messed up

And fish can go up to 2 weeks without food actually

Hope that helps
Good luck

EB

Provided they are in good health they will survive a lot longer than 3 days without food.

You could always put a "holiday" block of some sort in the tank if you're worried but don't try putting an excess of normal food in the tank as the fish will probably try and eat it straight away, and if they can't the surplus might decompose and pollute the water.

The other alternative if you're really keen is an automatic feeder.

you can buy a holiday block from your lft that slowly releases food for your fish, they would be fine without food for 3 days anyway, it does your fish good to go a day without food and an extra 2 days wont make much difference if you cant get a holiday block

Of course they can. I actually recommend you don't feed them while away, because any accident can happen with an automatic feeder. Imagine the whole thing fell in the water and nobody is around to clean it up? You would come home to fish soup...ewww.

They can survive a week without food.

Yes, you can either buy a little plastic feeder that you fill with flakes and it will release a little bit of food on schedule (time-released), or you can buy a block feeder. They are sold as 3 day, 7 day, or 10 day blocks that you can leave in the tank to feed the fish. Both of these are cheap and you can buy them at any pet store!

Don't worry, they can live without food for 3 days. In fact some people actually starve them for a few days if they are overfed!

There's slow release food dispensers, but you may also look into setting up more of a "live" tank, introducing more plant life. Fish can eat off of plants as well.

Edit: Anybody who rates this as a bad answer knows cr*p about fish. We've got four tanks, ranging from 30-150 gallon, and all of them have live plants in them that the fish eat from. We could be gone two weeks and the fish wouldn't die.

go to a fish shop and get a 3 day food block. It releases the food slowly.
shouldn't cost more than 3 quid.
or leave them hungry they'll be ok for 3 days.

Your fish will be fine. Clean their tank before you go, feed them their normal amount of food, and go have fun! Most fish can go for up to 2 weeks without eating. Overfeeding before you go (or using an automatic fish feeder) will just foul up your water and cause your fish to get sick.
