The Soviets oppressed and persecuted anyone who didn't agree with their shallow atheist worldview. They harassed them, censored them, jailed them and even killed them. Now atheists and secularists in America (and Europe) appear to be doing almost the same. Whether it is activist judges, places of work, schools, atheist organizations like ACLU, the mainstream media, liars like Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris and their mob numbering in the millions.
All this makes one ask: Are we witnessing the rise of Soviet-style persecution in the west and especially in America?

I'll tell you something you can either agree or disagree with.
Democracy and freedom are only a state of mind. In practicality, you are correct about your statements. Our government has been pushing things way too far. When things like this happenned, you can bet that corporate america is following the same path. Why do I say these things? Government and Corporations are an influential to each other. Pay close attention to the materials you read, whther in school or outside of school. You'll know exactly why. If you're in college, you'll read more of these in your texts. Good enough, yes?

Your an ***. They are many atheists that do not like the leadership of this country current today as well. Moron. I can argue that christians are the problem because christians descriminate againts atheist in the military, Many atheists have gone out to war and died. Then you have military leaders and the people they fight for say atheists wer enever in a fox hole. There was an atheists named tillman and he got neglected the right of a funeral because he was atheists. Thats real messed up because even if he was atheists he deserved a burial to comemorate the honer and valor he has done for the country. Alot of people get burials and they don't deserve it, like serial rapists, pedofiles, and serial killers.You people are disgusting. I hope at least some christians appreciate atheists contributions. Being religious also gets in the way of becoming a good scientists most of the time. 52% of scientists are atheists. And 95% of ELITE scientists are atheists. When atheists go out looking for work and stuff they tend to get desriminated because of they don't beleive in a God alot of times. I don't know you are talking about we are the problem when this country is runned and dominated by christians. Don't know wtf you are talking about. If you didn't have atheists, science would not be progressing nearly as fast today. If you don't like science then why are you using a computer, the internet, telephone, toilet, electricity, ipods ect?
If you hate science then why do you beleive in other things like Science astrology and physics? You claim you hate science but depend on science to understand things about the world and to get around it. How good does that sound? Because evolution is science and has been proven through numerous experiments and observations. The bible has not.

-Yes, but not how you describe it.
The United States was founded as a secular nation. Today there is a strong movement of conservative fundamentalist Christians to "Christianize" America through various means of propaganda. I am not against Christianity in anyway. I've got a problem with the Constitution and American values being trampled on.
Communism has nothing to do with atheism, it has do with the abolishment of the "individual" and the imposition of "unity", which completely conflicts with human nature.
