Is it hard work?
Well that depends on what you want to change.
How about I put it this way.
Not changing is HARDER.
Lets say for example that someone is a drug addict.
They need to stop.
It may be hard to do, but it is much HARDER to remain an addict and all that being an addict involves.
Make a list.
Create and action plan.
Write down your reasons for wanting to change.
Stay focused.
Break it down into smaller steps.
Do a little every day to get you closer to your goal.

Yes, I have tried and succeded to change certian behaviors and attitudes. It can be a long and difficult struggle but worth it. Focus, dedication and endurance is required. Don't try to change too many things at once. Choose 1 or 2 things, develop a strategy and go for it. The only true failures in life is not trying. There are valuable things to be learned both in success and non-success. Sometimes I have learned the most from not achieving.
Best of Luck!
