Lying is lying, your guilt doesn't change that. o.o

Obviously, you do lie to your husband. A lie is a lie is a lie. Some lies are less harmful, and they grease the wheels of society. But, while you may not be lying to your hubby "big time", you are lying to him by your own admission. Only you can determine if this is a big deal or not.

But, I am guess that since you are asking on here, then it must be a a big deal. Come clean and discuss the situation for next time.

listen to your conscience. I lie to my mom all the time because she is hurt so easily. She asks so many questions, that have an approved answer. If you don't tell her that you are a 'good girl' she gets very hurt and will go and pray for you, lol. So I lie to her. I won't lie to my husband (well I am single now), but I never could lie to the kids dad. Somehow it just seemed wrong to me. Just follow your heart, if you feel bad, than make it right

I think that a lie is a lie and honesty is the best policy.

Saying that I do think that sometimes its ok to lie to protect someones feelings if the lie is something insignificant and won't hurt if found out later.

Hope that helps

Have you ever watched TV? People do that all the time and they think they will get away with it, but they never do and it ends up escalating into something bigger. Little white lies are still lies and if the person you lied to finds out, they may think that you don't respect them enough to even tell them the truth. Now when it comes to something really small like spilling your coffee and you cleaned it up, just don't say anything.

To me a white lie is an insigifiacant item that saves hurt feelings. Like: "Honey does my butt look fat in these pants?" Surely, no man will answer yes to that.

But people confuse that with plain lying. Interesting you didn't say why you did this. Is there more to it then you wrote?

Actually, it is still a lie. However, we lie to each other all the time. We certainly don't tell when we are hiding Christmas presents. Nor do we want our spouses to tell us how fat or old we're getting. LOL Truth is, if what you're denying isn't something he'd be angry about or hurt by, I don't see the harm. I also don't understand why you would say you hadn't seen them, but that's not the point. I wouldn't beat myself up about it, if I were you.

A lie is a lie, there is not little ones or big ones regardless what society says. That is what your guilt is for because inside you know what is wrong and what is right. Don't go against that little voice inside.

Don't lie at all....if you start telling little white lies, soon you will be comfortable with that and start telling big ones. Honesty is the best policy, especially when dealing with your spouse.

Little white ones and great big ol' red ones....they're all lies, and they all have the same residual effect. They compound, because you feel compelled to cover them from potential discovery by telling ever-larger ones...it's a vicious cycle from which there is no escape! Semper Fidelis!

A lie is a lie, no matter what label you give it, be it a white lie or a little lie.......lying is lying

Have you ever heard the saying "if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck.....guess what....its a duck...

no matter how you disguise it, its still a lie.....
