Anyone have personal experiance with these units. Do they really help or are they a mock-up. I own a 94 325Is 5 speed. Will It help or hurt. And If It Is good, Is there any out there that can be enabled by the gas throtle or pedal other then a switch that has to be pushed to work. Thanks. Heres the name: Jet Intake Eletric Supercharger.

No do not waste your money. There are plenty of better modifications that will actually do something to help your motor. Check out turnermotorsport.com, bavauto.com, uucmotorwerks.com, bimmerworld.com, etc. they have plenty of true performance modifications.

Those things are a joke. Just like the "Tornado Fuel Saver." Don't get it. Trust me. It's just a fan that you put in your intake - it's not a real supercharger or a turbo. It consumes so much power, you can only use it for a few minutes at a time - and it's not worth it at all. You're better off waiting for more money to add a real supercharger.

Well thats a pretty technical question, I can only speculate....I don't think this would be an effective mod. At least not until you got some other parts. I believe the E36 3-series....(your car) used a unit on the intake side that meters/limits air intake....therefore, you wouldn't get any improved airflow. Euro air meters are available, and I am pretty sure you would need the euro air meter to make this mod worth it. Otherwise you are just forcing a lot of air at a unit designed to limit air intake. Am I right guys?

These are pure gimmicks and may damage your engine in the long term.

A proper aftermarket turbo/supercharger kit does not only involve ramming air into the intake. There're new intake routing, fuel pressure regulators, fuel pump...etc. Just check out any of the kits available from places like http://www.kormanfastbmw.com/turbos.htm, http://www.downingatlanta.com/da_superchargers_info_new.htm or others.
