No one can. It's ridiculous to me and I'm a Cowboy fan. Hopefully he'll get in next year, he deserves it.

I can't. I met Art Monk when I lived in the Washington D.C. area. He played in a basketball game I officiated. He was a true gentleman and a true professional. Great on and off the field. Michael Irvin was a punk. Although he had great numbers I aways thought he committed offensive interference quite often. He seemed to push off about half the time. There's no question that his off the field personna was that of a coke head.

It's probably because of the championships, but that shouldn't be the sole criteria. I'm sure Monk will make it next year, but there's no way he shouldn't have been first. I would have liked to see Irvin have to wait a few more years. It was probably inevitable that he made it, but there should have been some consequences for what he was as a role model and a father.

This is a travesty the great Art Monk is not in the HOF and the crack smoking Michael Irvin is in LOL what a jokes. When Art Monk retire he hold the NFL record for numbers of reception and yards. But now has been passed by other receivers, but still he's one of the greatest of all time as a receiver. The HOF committees voter need to wake up and vote Art Monk in the HOF.

Art Monk hasn't made it in because the ballots were deeper when he first went on. Let's face it - Irvin went on a ballot that lacked depth. It's not always just a case of who is better, but sometimes you have to look at who they are up against.

Because the voters have no clue.

It wouldn't surprise me if they induct Randy Moss and Keyshawn Johnson before Cris Carter and Mr. Raider....or if they get a better voting % than Jerry Rice.

It is outrageous!!! We live in a world of hype versus substance, I've lost respect for the HOF.

He works for ESPN and is well liked. I would not have voted for him before Monk.
