It's sad to see that some people don't accept you because you are different than they are.
I know how you feel. I was turned down from a job at 'The Advocate' just because of my sexual orientation.
You can't help it, you were born that way.
It's sad that some have to use hate speech to show their intolerance of you.
Hang tough dude, you have support in your community.

I don't really believe that sexual preference is innate and you are born with it but that is a seperate topic. I think it would be good to have a section for sexuality(in general queer and hetero alike) and one for LGBT culture (not necessarily sexuality) and one for "I always wanted to ask a queer ______." It might also be good to have sub categories so people can sort to questions that are actually pertinent to their lives. I think making lgbt into sexuality is flawed for two main reasons:
1. It sort of obscures T or transgender related issues which although they can encompass sexuality are primarily concerned with gender.
2. What about LGBT folks who aren't getting any or don't really care?
3. Contrary to popular believe LGBT folks don't go at it ALL the time. Some rest a lil bit.

Why? Everywhere you look, things are always about straight people. The media, commericals, ads, books, movies, the news, religion, etc.
What's wrong with this group to have a place to call home? Be honest, what would happen if all of these questions were in just a section called ''Sexuality"? None would be answered honestly, with out harrassment. This is suppose to be a safe place for the LGBT people.
Straight people aren't entitled to EVERYTHING. We have to learn to give up that ''power''.

Hey, I think I know what you are trying to say here. Calling this sexuality merely might confuse people even further about the differences that exist between sexual preferences (for want of a better word). If you've been here long enough, you'd know how many try to equate homosexuality with pedophilia and bestiality. Perhaps till those differences are clearly understood, we would still like to keep it as it is.
This has nothing to do with you being straight. We appreciate those who understand us, or make the effort of understanding us. Take care.

If you look under the 'Family and Relationships' category on Yahoo Answers, you will see a number of categories that reference sexuality. The DIFFERENCE is that they primarily deal with heterosexual sexuality. (You don't see a lot of gay folks asking for dating advice there.) If those areas were renames Sexuality, thena that would make sense.
This category deals, to some degree, with sexuality on that level, but it also deals with culture GLBT specific politics etc.

Well, unfortunately, it seems to be more of a homophobia section than anything else.
many honest questions hardly even get noticed.
edit: I like the idea of there being sub-sections to a sexuality section though

i think there should be a different category called "sexuality" so that way the GLBT community would still have a place on here of their own....but if you feel left out your welcome to stay here with us as long as you offer support and not hate
