I have a long penis 8 1/2 in but it is only average to maybe slightly above average girth. The problem is the length I cant go all the in without it being painfull for her. What I have read and what I am being told is that the length isn't important but its the girth thats the real deal. anyways is there anyway to get more girth? And ladys what the truth length or girth?

Brother we as human are never happy. We always fantasize of being bigger or thicker. The truth is this. Why do you think the clitoris is outside the vagina. Think about it. The nerves that make the woman have orgasm begins on the clitoris and goes inside almost to the middle of the vagina. So with that said do a 4 to 1 move. Thrust your penis three times with out going all way in and the last go all away. With this you will stimulating all of the vagina. The girth myth is this. We and some women think that being thick will give more pleasure. its not necessarily true. The fact of you being thick will make lubrication fade faster. And as you become dry and thick it will start bothering the outer lips of the vagina. So a woman can really feel comfortable the lips have to be kind of on limited pressure. And another thing as most women know the entrance of the vagina is elastic so do not stay in one position as far as penetration. Well, if you are "slightly above average" in girth already why are you complaining? They make a device that you can slip over your penis, made of silicone that will increase girth, however, it will cover part of your penis and I would think you would lose sensitivity.
My male counterpart is 9 inches long, and it only hurts when he goes too deep if I am not ready. The vagina is a very stretchy orifice. Slow things down and work up to getting it all in. Or, try a different position, sometimes that can make a huge difference.

Girth is truly the more important characteristic. The majority of the nerve endings are in the first third of the vagina, so truly it only takes a few inches of penetration. A wider girth makes the penis touch more of the surface of the vagina, and therefore more of the nerve endings. You should try positions that do not allow for so much penetration.

Accept what you've been given, be a generous lover, stop trying to go all the way in since you already know that it brings pain as you can't do anything to enlarge girth or length.
Most women do not orgasm through sexual intercourse alone. It happens with direct manual or oral stimulation to the clitoris.

If she is not well lubricated it can hurt either by length or width. Also with a long penis and too forceful thrusting you can get too close or bump up against the cervix which is painful. Take it slow and try other positions.
