I think it's 50/50. I don't really like to have a roast dinner other then when I visit my Nan's house or at Christmas - purely because I've never really been keen on them and I don't ever want to end up having one every Sunday out of obligation and not enjoy it. But then there are people like my Grandad who won't go a week without one! I think it's nice that some people do still keep it as a tradition if that's what they want; it's just not for me!

Sadly yes. And a wonderful institution it was! Our grown children's lives are just too busy! We are lucky if we get together 4-5 times a year, and all live in very close proximity. A blessed Sunday!

yes i do i think those were the best time and today is the same. most family work 6 days a week and sundays family get togeter to enjoy they self and talk about things. and to see other family that lived for away.

Alas yes ... that's if you mean where father carves the pigeon with a cut-throat razor, mother serves Yorkshire puddings with shoe trees in 'em and crazy Uncle Stanley dons clogs and lederhosen to lead those assembled in Grace? Well, it was traditional in our neck of the woods .....

no, not really. just look at all the restaurants with a carvery. its a thing of today, and always will be. bit like good old traditional english breakfast. that'll never die out either!
