First build an altar in your kitchen out of twelve natural stones that have never been cut. And then on that altar, sacrifice a goat that is pure and without blemish, under one year of age. And then as the blood drains from the goat you must light it on fire and while the goat burns, walk about your house with an olive branch and brush the smoke from the burning goat into all the corners of your house. And in doing this, you will leech the cigarette smell from your walls and carpet, and replace it with the small of burning goat.
p.s. you may want to add some basil

Few odors are more odious, especially to non- and reformed smokers, than lingering cigarette smoke. Whether your goal is to get healthy or to get a loved one off your back, it's easy to keep your home from smelling like the local roadhouse. Just throw open your windows and try out one or more of these easy tricks.
1.Set small bowls of vinegar, pine-scented cleaner or activated charcoal around the room. If your home has young children or pets, place the bowls well out of reach. Close off the room overnight.
2.Spritz your favorite perfume or cologne on a cold light bulb. When the light is turned on, the warmed scent will fill the room.
3.Place small items (such as gloves, a wool hat or a small pillow) in a zippered plastic bag with a couple of fabric-softener sheets. Leave overnight.
4.Fill ashtrays with cat litter to extinguish cigarettes and capture the odor.
5.Fill ashtrays with cat litter to extinguish cigarettes and capture the odor.

Leave open bowls of undiluted white vinegar or baking soda in each room. You may need to wash down the walls and floors with vinegar and water and/or some baking soda if there was a regular smoker in the house. Vinegar has worked the best for me. Close the doors to each room for a while when you set out the bowls.

Just from guests: Open all the windows and air it out.
Or if it's from long time smoking I'll tell you what I had to do. Wife and I smoked for 20 years in the house, both quit!!
Wash and dry EVERY piece of material in the house. Drapes. sheets, Pillows, socks, you get the picture.
Buy paint designed to seal the smell in the wall, paint, then repaint in the color the wife wanted.
Tear up and re-carpet the floors. (We needed new carpet)
Maintain scent fans in basement (open wood) and upstairs in the living area for about 6 months.

First, kick out the smoker LOL. Seriously, an air purifier should help. The ones with the blades you can clean yourself are better than the ones with filters.

Open your windows and air out your house.... If you have carpets sprinkle baking soda on your carpets and leave on overnight... Vacuum up the soda, it will be gray... Yucky, that means it's working... I do this once a week... I also sprinkle the furniture and leave on overnight as well... good luck

there's a product out that the firemen use..don't know the name of it but, it works.
Wash walls, clean carpet, wash curtains, clean drapes, wash windows,,wash all throw rugs,,clean all upholstered furniture..open all windows for as long as you can every day..
Anytime someone smokes in the house, immediately get rid of the butts outside..or wrap them in foil...
