Final Fantasy 10-2 how do you run from a battles?

I am only on chapter 2! But i want to know how to you from from battles, do I need something? Do i have to wait until i get farther in the game?I am not talking about the boss..I know you cant run from them..But if someone can help me, It would be really Nice...Thank you!!!

Press the direction pad to the right. It will bring up the Escape option. You'll have to do it with each character.

the g@yest final fanasy out to date play ff12 instead you'll like it better ff7- 10 (part 1) rock also
