This should end with myself and not my as you can tell i am not too well aquainted with the workings of a computer if im spell things wrong i can not alter without deleting the lot and typing again. there you are 2 mistakes who cares.

You can download some pretty good free anti-virus scanners online. One you can get for free is AVG Anti-Virus Free Version. The full version, which offers better protection, costs money, but if you just need virus protection and nothing else it's the best thing for you. Get it here: http://www.grisoft.com/doc/31/us/crp/0

Not a daft question at all! If you want to know the answer, no question's daft, though you may get stupid answers. sr and hugsforfrazier have given you good leads, there are plenty of good, free programs out there to sort problems out.

WOAH WOAH WOAH !! hold up !!!! dont take it to any store yet lol ,and watse your money , try restoring your computer , to the day before or a couple of days before you got the bug / virus and it will get rid of it for you , it is located in the programmes > accessories > system tools > restore comp , good luck :-D

Download microsoft onecare. free 90 day trial, but it will clean up your virus now.
I've just got rid of a worm called brontok from 3 of my pc's, and they are all working fine again!

System Restore back to a time when all was well, then get something like AVG free anti-virus & spyware programs in quick.

if ur anti v or anti spy deals with it ur ok,if its more serious get a tech in.not a daft question at all.
