This only applies to federal crimes. If you're seeking a state pardon, you must apply to the governor of the relevant state.

You need to be working for Bush, preferably someone who has dirt on him and will reveal all to prevent going to jail. Otherwise, you have to be the president or a top executive in one of the large oil, coal, pharmaceutical, or tobacco corporations that support him.

If you did something really terrible, like smoked pot, had sex with a girl who was 17 years 364 days old on your 18th birthday, or stole a sandwich because you were starving, you can forget about your chances of a pardon.

Mmmmm... Gonzales just resigned.. I'll bet we'll see another pardon if the scrutiny he's under comes up with anything. The Bush Admin can do no wrong and are above all laws of this country.

You don't. Presidential pardons are at the whim of the elected official. There isn't a process to apply for one.

You become a friend of the president, commit a crime while working for him, and ergo...a pardon is granted, as soon as you are convicted.

contact your congressman and start there. But understand that if it is not in the best interest of them they will blow you off. so do some homework first and make it sound like it will be in their best interest.
