Dear Colin,
My mechanic could not trace the problem. So finally he claims that the battery die off because I keep it for 3 weeks without proper warming up the engine... I wonder he is right or not??

The last time around you told us there was no problem with the battery, alternator or starter and lots of people tried to suggest to you what the problem might be.

If this is now a different, hypothetical question, a good fully charged battery should not go flat in three weeks UNLESS there is another problem or current drain. Once you've got it started a half-hour drive should be more than adequate to recharge it.

A new and fully charged battery will able to hold charges for few weeks. Disconnect the earth cable from the battery - that will stop all operation of the vehicle electronic/electrical system.

To recharge a battery it always good to leave it to charge at the battery shop for a few hours charge and top up with distilled water. It is cheaper than to run the engine!

A new battery does not drain down unless it is broken.. You can buy a bad battery... Three weeks is no problem for the car. If you have something on in the car running the battery down thats different.
If the battery is that much concern -- remove the cable from the post.... Doesn't take a ASE mechanic --just a tool to loosen the cable--could be a wrench. Look at it and you will see what you need...You do know how to open the hood???

If your battery is the original or a replacement don't bother dis connecting the battery, especially if you need to have it inspected soon. Toyota's have very high amperage output alternators (14.4 - 14.5 amps) The battery will re-charge fully within 10 miles of driving. If you choose not to disconnect the battery have a trusted friend start the car and let it idel for 10 minutes once each week to keep the battery charged.
If you dis-connect the battery in modern cars nowadays a fault will show up on the state inspectors screen and it will not pass. However if yoy choose to dis connect the battery be sure to drive the car a minimum of 500 miles to automatically reset the disconnect fault code. You'll be OK by that time.

Battery should be fine unless weather is very cold. Have you fitted your own stereo system, this could be draining the battery if it was fitted incorrectly. If not there is probably a fault somewhere else which is draining the battery.
