Hey,

Fake malicious programs sometime mimic real operating system processes. Spybot is a pretty good program and the suggested removal is safe to perform.

It might be flagging that item if you have the Automatic Updates disabled or have Windows Firewall disabled.

When I run a Spybot S&D scan, I get the same thing as I have my settings like that because I prefer getting updates at my convenience and use a different firewall.

Check your settings and make sure you antivirus is up to date as well. To check you security center settings go to Control Panel and click on Security Center

It's OK to remove that threat. You see, then that crap does not come up every time.

Having Microsoft Security features is like having a fox guard the hen house. That's what hackers attack first.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

that spy bot garbage is crap ! to be honest ! in fact if you have windows then windows defender is the best one out of them , yes thats right it is better than macafee and norton ! it has the same components , and its free cause it should come with your computer , if not download it ! no need to waste money on security programmes when there is a perfectly good one , and if you have a problem on your computer , that you are not sure of , simply restore your comp , go to start , then accessories then system tools and restore it to the date before you got your problem and it will clear it ,
