I eat donuts as breakfast and as a snack!

Both! But yesterday it was so gross. I had nothing but coffee and chocolate and sugar-filled things to eat yesterday. and yesterday on my way home from being at the coffee shop all day (my internet connection at home was on the fritz), I passed by a donut shop. And I couldn't go in, because even smelling the donuts would make me sick.

However, I'm almost upset now, because it's breakfast time and there are no donuts :)

Usually I don't do them for breakfast because they are a little heavy for me that early in the morning. But, come to think of
it, its been a couple of years since I've had a donut.

We buy our daughter, who is just two days shy of seven months, organic baby food. Since she is in stage one, she is getting bananas, pears, apples, prunes, peas, carrots, and sweet potatoes. For the most part, her food tastes good. I don't eat it myself, just lick off drops that get on my hands. I don't care for the peas, as they remind me of the yucky canned peas my mother bought when I was a child, but other than that, it's good. I've even mused to my husband about how worth while it would be for me to eat it, especially the sweet potatoes which is one of my favorite vegetables. (I only get it when we go to steak houses with my in-laws, though.) Like you, I can't do overly sweet things. I used to devour things like bakery cakes, restaurant dessert cakes, cookies, candy bars, etc. However, since I've changed my thinking with food, I can look at those and mentally wrinkle my nose. Last week my husband and I were at a dinner and the dessert was a five layer slice of chocolate cake that was about three inches long and two inches high. I took one tiny bite and reeled from the sweetness. I had finished my water and the servers had quit coming since the presentation had started, so I started on my unsweetened tea to get rid of the sweetness. Later, after the dinner, I pulled an all-natural organic chocolate chip granola bar (with a chocolate layer on the bottom) from Trader Joe's and it was the perfect amount of sweet. My MIL bought a bakery cake for our daughter's baptism reception. I looked at it with all of the white flour, sugar, fake colors, etc. and was disgusted. There was a time in my life I would have tried to go for the corner piece with the big flour. Anyway, I go for regular fruits and veggies. I figure they have more nutrients. Also, I think my husband figured it cost about $15 to feed our daughter for a week. Eek. She can have her food. I'll just keep licking the drips.
