Not really. It's for anyone who has $40- to $50,000 to pay, and wants an awesome car that looks great and packs a punch. The link you provided shows the Blue Devil project, which will have over 650 horses under the hood, but will cost over $100,000...

I haven't seen the 2009 'vette but, call it what you will, the 2008 model is a very, very nice car. I can see where guys would use the 650 hp in the 2009 model to compensate for . . . other areas where they may have lost ability over the years.

most sports cars can make that claim not just corvettes. Now most guys would say the want a young girl, fast car, and money in the bank. The corvette fills the fast car part very well.

A new muscle car, an old muscle car, they aren't just for midlifers. I'm 25 and have an old muscle car and a new one. The corvette is a little easier attained by the midlifers because of low insurance costs, steady income, and usually a better income because they've settled. I like them, no matter whos driving them, and btw thats a lot of damned power right there!

Im 54 and have had vettes for 10 years now. they interest some people just as you may have an interest in horses or planes or any thing else , They may not be for everyone, and a majority of owners are over 50. no mid-life crises here...

I agree it's a mid life crisis car. I'm almost 40 and I still can't afford one. I'd love to have a Z06. I'd appreciate any donation you can make to the "I need a Z06" fund. I haven't seen the 09 vette yet. But I will check it out.
