I wonder how? I'm always honest, & people who lie, steal, & cheat are considered more mature than me. In other words, people say I'm more childish than them, just because I'm sensitive & my feelings get hurt easily.

No! A mature person does not need to lie, steal and cheat. These people are immature and you are much better than they are. By insulting you, they are trying to bring you down to their level. Don't let them get away with this.

That is a subjective statement when someone concludes something to be such with no clear understanding of what mature really means. Everybody will have a different perspective of the word. But, goodness I have come across so many people whom are so immature and thankfully so. I sure would not want live in a world with a bunch of stuck up snobs. I realize now that the little that I was when i was little girl is still there now as I grow old. So, when I evaluate the word mature I can only believe it means to be responsible.
It is not a responsible thing to do to lie but sometimes it is necessary. It is not responsible to steal, but when you have starving kids it is necessary. To bad your question is so subjective. It is not irresponsible to cry, in fact it is necessary.
So, what is immature about crying?

NO! The characteristics of lying, stealing, and cheating are glaring signs of immaturity.
Pay attention... if people tell you that you are more childish than the above. They may be trying to tell you that you have a "chip on your shoulder" and you just think you are sensitive and your feelings are hurt more easily.

It is good to be honest. But you will have an almost likeness to the innocence of a child who would just say things without thinking. A liar, thief and cheater has to be careful with what she or he says in order to avoid giving himself or herself away to the police.
