I've been getting a lot of headaches accompanied with 'dizzy spells' .... where i become dizzy & literaly can't see for several minutes at a time and feel nauseous like i'm going to throw up, and feel as though i'm going to pass out. So i have to sit down. It takes a long while for me to 'recouperate' or to feel slighlty better, then when i go to go about my normal activities, its only a few minutes or so and i feel the same.
This has been ongoing for several months (except the periods of dizziness which has been consistent about 2 weeks...((comparable to when you become dizzy due to a drop in blood pressure after standing up to quickly after a period of laying or sitting down) with the exception that i'm not going from sitting to standing, i'm usually simply standing.)) Is it too much 'sugar' or caffine in my diet, or dehydration where i just need to drink more water? I dont eat much so i'm sure this plays a factor...... what can i do for this problem?

I've tried migraine medicine, but it too has caffine in it and doesnt seem to help much ( i usually have to take about 4 pills for the headache to subside.)
But during the dizzy period, (like 'seeing spots'.... i literally cannot see for minutes at a time.
Also, i cannot eat anything (solid food)without becoming sick (um.... like, getting the D-plague lol *sorry* i know thats gross to mention.... ) and i also have an ulcer that bleeds periodically, but it has been okay during this time for the most part.

Also, there's no chance i could be pregnant.

i plan on going to see a doctor eventually when it's necessary..... i dont know that this is. It is not from stress. Im sure its from a combination of things that i could easily alter so as this discontinues...... i'm not the kind to go to a doctor just for a simple headache .... (its more severe than that though obviously with going practically blind for several minutes at a time) but that's why i was asking;
doing to a doctor is obvious. but thanks for the obvious answers. helpful i suppose.

I'm not on any medication. I only sometimes take something to alleviate the headache.

Your symptoms may not be related. The over the counter migraine medicine just contains caffiene. You need to go to a doctor to get a Rx for Imitrex or Amerge. Migraines can be very severe and some bother people differently. Is it one sided? Nausea, seeing spots (aura) are common symptoms.
Try to figure out why you are getting these heaaches. If you are female, is it around the time you will start your period? Could be hormone related. You need to eat every 4 hours to keep your blood glucose levels steady. Protein instead of a simple carbohydrate. It will last 4 hours without ups and downs in blood glucose levels.
Lastly, some headaches are related to pituitary tumors. Therefore, go to your doctor. It will be worth your time. Also, see if he'll recommend a registered dietician. Then your insurance will pick up the cost. Take care of yourself.

You need to see your doctor. Several things could be going on - one, your not eating enough; two, it could be the onset of a migraine (not all Migraine medicine contains caffeine - like a new on called Maxalt (it just dissolves under the tongue). The spots you are seeing is a sign you are about to pass out. I used to get this when standing - make sure you don't lock your knees.

Definitely see your doctor. Good luck

A diagnoses can't be given here. I would suggest that you contact your doctor for an examination. I do not know your medical history, but I would advise getting a CT-Scan and some blood tests done ASAP. There can be many conditions causing your problem. DO NOT delay the doctor visit.

Why can't you go to a doctor???????? If you can't afford it, you can go to an EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT! You seemingly want answers, but you don't want to take the advise that is given.

We CAN"T diagnose your problem, because it can be a number of things from hypoglycemia to a brain tumor. I'm sorry, but you can't put your head up to the monitor and give yourself a CT scan.

Find your self medical help if you are really concerned about the problem.

You have not discussed this with your doctor Yet ?

It could be as simple as a vertebra pulled out of location by stress.
or
More seriously, Your blood pressure could be dropping due to a major blockage.
or
Definitely serious, a tumor.

I would not be here on Yahoo asking about this.
I would be in a doctors office.

You don't have to panic just stay calm ok now stay calm don't even think that u have a headache. If it was me i would first go to a doctor if i have a problem like that. But there are people that don't have a health insurence or if they don't have enough money to see a doctor they will not normally go to a doctor. But ache in a head is serious u have to go to a doctor.

I need to make a macro: The internet is not a place to get medical diagnosis or treatment. People with a little knowledge, or who think they have a little knowledge, and with the purest of intentions, give out horrible misinformation delaying accurate diagnosis and the start of effective treatment.

Call your doctor and explain the urgency of your medical problem, seeking the earliest appointment.

you need to see a doctor. seriously, if this has been for months, something is going on. i don't want to scare you, but what if you have a serious illness and by the time you get treatment it's too late? i'm not saying that you do, but it's always better to be safe.

You def need your doc's help.
What other kinds of meds are you on?
Why can't you keep food down?
Why are you getting ulcers?
If you want to know if Caff is contributing then stop taking caffiene.
Yes you need a lot of water. Yes you need to eat.
Is you diet balanced?
How are your sleeping habits?
So many things contribute it is a process of elimination to fighure out what is going wrong...
See your doctor as soon as possible to begin the process.....

Could you be a diabetic?
I would see your physician asap and let them do a workup on you. In the meantime, try to stay away from caffeine and drink plenty of fluids!!
Good luck!!
