Seagate is a good brand, with a manufacturing plant in Minneapolis. 320GB is a decent size depending on what you will be doing with it. 7200 RPM is faster than the standard 5400 RPM. 16MB cache is double the standard 8MB. SATA 2 is faster than IDE.

Funny, I just ordered that exact model yesterday as a replacement in one of my servers! Except the computer I bought it for uses IDE, not SATA 2.

Overall, great choice! :-)

It should be good. It is a recent model (7200.10) on perpendicular recording technology.
