You know Grant made a lot of errors too lets talk about that and Wilsons league of nations? what was he thinking? Bill hasn't been president for more than 6 years now and I still see questions about him daily, as if they think pointing out his shortcommings somehow make up for Bush's many mistakes? So republicans, which is it? Do you feel love for Bill Clinton or do you believe that two wrongs make a right?

regerugged man you are not too bright are you? I see Bush senior as much as I see clinton so I guess you must think he is a sleazebag too. Personally I don't think you're life is over when you leave the office, but whatever.

I'm not a Republican, but I'll answer this anyway. I'm not a Democrat either, nor Lib or whatever else, for that matter.

I find it very interesting, all the hatred I see in the States towards Clinton. I was a teenager in Europe when Clinton was first elected, and throughout both of his terms he maintained a very good reputation in Europe, and did wonders for the public image of the U.S. over there. Especially his efforts in trying to get Israel and Arafat talking were widely applauded.

Clinton excelled at foreign diplomacy, whereas Bush Jr has done a great deal of damage to the diplomatic relations between the U.S. and a lot of Europe, and the U.N. Clinton's reputation was not tarnished by Monicagate. Europeans weren't appalled by the scandal, mostly just amused. In fact, to some degree the whole thing probably increased his popularity. It was refreshing to see a man in the White House who still had a d!ck.

But I think Europeans in general are more forgiving of sex scandals since they are far more commonplace there among politicians. And I'd daresay the attitude towards sex in general is a bit less prudish than here in the States. Maybe that factors into it. Also, diplomacy is highly regarded there. The way Bush bulldozed over United Nations after 9-11 was shocking to watch, to me, as a European-born.

My wife is American, and she's made some derogatory comments about Clinton. I asked her once as to why she dislikes him, and her only reason seemed to be the sex scandal.

I don't really understand why people would take one sexual mishap and let it overshadow a great president's accomplishments. I understand the people's need to stand by their president, regardless of what an idiot he is, Bush being a prime example. But if they are willing to overlook Bush's deathly lies, why can't they extend the same courtesy to Clinton?

He wasn't exactly the first American male to commit adultery and lie about it.

Shhhh. You have to be very politically correct on Yahoo Answers. The administrators here are the kids that ate paste and their own boogers in kindergarten. They have the same belief system as when they were 5 and do not tolerate any views different than their own. Punishment is you get a Violation Notice or your account is closed; they take their ball and go home whining.
Republican views are not to be tolerated on Yahoo. Picture a room full of Rosie O'Donnels with a liberal sprinkling of mixed race gay guys being bossed by Al Sharpton and you have a rather accurate view of Yahoo Answers.
You Bill Clinton lovers need to be kissing Ross Perot's behind every single day. Without Ross, you hick would still be raping, with the help of the Highway Patrol, secretaries in Arkansas. Willie never got close to 50%, less than Bush, of the vote.
Now the bad news for you Clinton fans (you heard it here first), Hillary will never be President.

These radical "conservatives would pull Clinton's body out of the grave if he passed away, just so they could attribute more evil towards him. The party of the color of blood is desperate for scapegoats, as they realize that their president has failed at everything he has ever tried to do.

This man makes Richard Nixon look like the best president we ever had, and that is not an easy task. The new color of God in America is Blue, and people should really get used to that. The Republicans have been discarded by their lies, deceit and hypocrisy.

Bill Clinton will ALWAYS be a topic of conversation for those of us on the right-just like Bush will be for the Libs. We on the right know Clinton was a farce as a president and you'll never convince us otherwise. And now we have Hillary to deal with!

Unlike most Libs however, many of us on the right do openly criticize much of what Bush has or hasn't done whereas the Libs will tell you Clinton was perfect. Intellectual honesty is a gene that the Libs lack.....as do the Clinton's!

Truthfully, it only comes up when some dim bulb goes on about how great things were under Clinton, and a whole lot of us can't help but point out that he was a womanizing crook and one of the worst presidents we've ever had.

I've wondered this myself sometimes. They seem to think that Clinton's errors make bush's error acceptable, Lets see one did an intern in the oval office and one started a war that has killed thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. Yeah those two things are similar.

Bill Clinton is a sleaze ball. He craves the lime light. He has stayed in front of the main stream media on purpose, for his own self-benefit. The good ex-presidents go home and shut up.

Dems seem too ashamed to defend Clinton.

Oddly they want him and his wife back in the White House. That pretty much makes him VERY relevant.

Also, given Carter's and Clinton's record, we would be wise to NEVER elect another Dem.

Questions remind you of that last point.
