Yeah i like him.

Very good ,powerful, raspy vocals plus I really do like his lustrous long black hair.

"And I so I come to youuuuuuu with Opppppppppen armms" (cough cough)

Other hit songs:
Dont Stop Believing (good 80s hit)
Anyway You Want it
Foolish Heart
Oh Sherrie

His string of hits halted due to a hip injury.

I absolutely ADORE Steve Perry! He always has been and always will be "THE VOICE" behind Journey. Dont get me wrong, the remaining members have great talent, but after they shafted Steve Perry, they should have changed the name of the band and gone about their business. Steve will be back....he is too great a talent to stay hidden for too long!

He's one of my top 5 vocalists of all time AND I own every Journey album made up to Frontiers after that they kinda lost it.
My Top 10 Journey Songs

2 Stone In Love
3 Winds Of March
4 Do You Recall
5 Majestic/Too Late

When Journey put their mind to it and stayed off the ballad-ey stuff they ROCKED!

With or Without the mullet? Also, I think he should get that mole removed.

Its hard to deny that he was a great singer, but man, one glance at the video "Separate Ways"...That's the epitome of 1980's Cheese.

Don't get me started on "Oh Sherry"...

All in all, the world needed a Steve Perry in the 1970-1980's.

No question the man is talented but I don't care for his style. Same with Joe Lynn Turner (Ritchie Blackmore hired him for Rainbow after Ronnie James Dio left the band). Great voice but I just didn't care for his style.

In my opinion, he's one of the best all-time vocalists. Powerful singing voice. Escape was one of my favorite albums of the era.

He had a great voice. Not so much anymore. He can't really hit some of those notes these days, but thats understandable, he's pushing 60.
