Product placement?

how do they get away with 2 hours of advertising products.. I find the auditions funny, but then I switch off. I think they should be paying the tv companies advertising money, since its such a big advert.

remember normally the people who are making these shows are also the ones who own the production companies behind them.

and ultimatly the only ones profitting from it.

my idea is THEY should pay the tv company for such a large advert. There is only so many cover versions of "unchained melody" you can hear.

It's just a way to mug the public and save the big wig tv people having to think up ideas on programmes that will actually entertain.

They should be banned or at least be resticted to 1 a year, not a different one every time one comes to an end.

They do make a profit from us viewers that's why they go out of their way to bring in these adverts so you have to continue to watch to see the rest of the show,it's It the hype that draws so much attention and the advertisements companies see this as a way of making their profit because they know it will get seen.

Like all shows they rely on advertising revenue and sponsors to the programs. This revenue is tied to the ratings that the show gets. Another form of revenue for TV has been TV on DVD, this again plays on the popularity of the show. The advantage of reality and sports programming ove rmany other shows is the relative cheap production costs.
