let me clarify what I mean by "spirit". I am defining spirit as the life force that makes something alive rather than non-living. For example, an animal is alive while a rock is not alive even though both exist.

The Spirit or Soul This is described as having no mass, no wave-length,no energy and no time or location in space except by consideration or postulate. The spirit is not a "thing". It is the "creator" of things. The usual residence of the soul, (spirit, awareness of awareness unit....YOU) is in the skull or near the body. YOU are your own immortal soul. The soul can be in one of four conditions. 1. Entirely separate from a body or bodies. 2. Near a body and knowingly controlling the body. 3. In the body (the skull). 4. An inverted condition, compulsively away from the body and unable to approach it. There are degrees of each of the above 4 conditions. The most optimum of these from the standpoint of man, is the second. The Mind This is a communication and control system between the spirit and it's (his) environment. The mind is a network of communications and pictures, energies and masses, which are brought into being by the activities and interactions of the spirit with the Physical Universe and other spirits/individuals. These activities include the operating of a body and the solving of problems related to survival and existence. The mind has 2 Parts: The Analytical Mind. The keynote of this mind is awareness. One knows what one is concluding and knows what one is doing. The Reactive Mind. This is a stimulus response mechanism. This mind acts below the level of consciousness. It never stops operating unlike the Analytical Mind which can be less aware or even completely unconscious. The Body A carbon/oxygen engine. This can best be studied in such books as "Grey's Anatomy" and other anatomical texts. You asked a lot of questions . It's not possible to answer them all on this forum. If you want more understanding about life I suggest you read the book that the above information came from.

Nice attempt at philosophy, but because of your definition I am required to say that a living man is composed of mind, body, and spirit, since you have defined spirit as "the life force that makes something alive rather than non-living".

However, I would argue that this concept of 'spirit' is ad hoc and without evidence . All a man (or woman) requires to be alive and functioning is a mind and a body. Furthermore I posit that the mind is the source of this phenomenon commonly referred to as 'spirit'

I believe we are body and soul which encompases the mind.

Right now we exist on a temporal plane. Eventually that will end.

When the body dies, then the Spirit is free.

There have been moments when I know my body is not my entire being. My consciousness is actually the higher creation, I think, beyond the corporal.

Ever had that feeling?

Like you're not percieving and responding physically, but that there is a lifting of consciousness that is beyond your body?

An almost eternal response.

A ping that connects you to beyond the physical?

Like when you internalize a truth.

It makes me not afraid of death.

I don't want to leave my loved ones, and what is familiar here. But I do not think that when I die I will be dead. My consciousness (Spirit)will transcend.

I don't know what that transcendence will mean, but I hope that it is a union with God that brings eternal peace. Where the being is Holy, as God intended us to be.

Well, you asked.

I believe that man is composed of mind, body, spirit and soul. According to me anyone lacking any one of these things will not be a "human being" or a "man". You forgot to specify one thing i.e. the most important of all i.e. "HEART". I believe that is within the body, but it is better to specify it, because it is the most necessary asset.

plants are alive but they have no soul.i think man is body, soul and sometimes mind.our soul is a little piece of god.the atoms that make up not only our bodies but everything are also pieces of god.our minds are our free will affect out spirit witch can damage our soul.but through it all we learn, grow and someday god will put all the pieces back in place.each time better than we were for having been here.

I believe we have a mind, body and soul and that we all have energy fields around us called auras. The left over energy from after we die is left to linger in this world.
