did you may bee install a new part? if both are set to master or both set to slave they will clash and bios will not pick up either of them, make sure if both are on same ide cable that one is set to master (jumpers on back of disk) and one to slave. c if that solves your problems

When you start your computer, hit F2, then go to drivers, click on that and activate them.
