It's just the whole fly-on-the wall thing. I think people like the whole idea of sitting in on other people's conversations and hearing what they have to say. And it's sometimes fun to see how two-faced people can be when they forget there are cameras pointed at them! And I like all the funny moments too - like the other week when Ziggy kicked the ball over the wall and Gerry went nuts! It's just generally fun to watch! Gives us something to do, doesn't it?

It's kind of like why people watch soaps there isn't much of a reason it's just like seeing how people live their lives and for laughs. Also BB and other shows can be controversial and popaular so I guess people want to be in the know so if someone says did you see so and so yesterday and you can be in on the conversation too.

Obviously people like it for different reasons.
I like the strategy of the social game. Here's a great example: think of all that went on last week from the time that Eric's card read "Dustin" to the eviction when Dustin's mouth gaped open as he was told to leave. A lot had to happen for Eric to turn Jess's game like that; it's one big manipulation.
On a side note I think it's ridiculous when people make disparaging remarks about the manipulation that goes on in the house. That IS the game. It's like criticizing someone for collecting rent in Monopoly.
Enjoy!

I watched the first three series and thought they were great. When the fourth came on, I thought it was starting to go downhill. Having used up the whole of the summer, I said that I would give the next one a miss. Still watching to this day. I think it's like an addiction. Even when it's getting boring, you keep watching, just in case it gets better!!!

Its called curiosity, and the thing where we want to see how other human beings are like whom we would never really meet and get to know abd I like watching these shows just to learn that there ARE really funny, crazy, nice people out there http://bigbro8.blogspot.com/

To get to say to people I don't like you, so I'm going to vote you out. they get institutionalised and tired, but to see the goodness and badness in people. Its sort of a psychology thing, observing the naked Brian in his environment. To see and feel less alone, by that I mean its a fly on the wall thing its a chance to see people as they really are and see if they do that thing that you do.

It's because we are hoping to catch a glimpse of them doing the same things that we do and know are not very nice things to do.
It passes the time too.
