Another of my favorite old-time actors, he was a true "Everyman".

What would our movie history be like without Jimmy Stewart? Scary to think about.

I'd have to say, off the top of my head that these are my favorites:

It's a Wonderful Life
The Shop Around The Corner
The Philadelphia Story
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Rear Window

...and many many more!

My all-time favorite is "Anatomy of a Murder," which co-starred--among others--Lee Remick.

Great movie, directed by Otto Preminger, musical score by Quincy Jones (I think.)

Jimmy was perfect in the role of an attorney who had been district attorney but was defeated and was totally pissed off at the system. Generally serious movie with a lot of comparatively lighter moments.

It's a Wonderful Life. We watch it every Christmas!

I get such a warm feeling from Jimmy Stewart when I watch his movies. He seems like a genuinely nice person.

Good Luck!!!

see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Stewart for more information on in - I never knew he got into a fist fight with Henry Fonda over politics.
