If you have a friend that is with the police department, he could run the numbers for you. I hear that insurance guys can do the same thing, but I can't verify that. People at the DMV may also be able to help you. It would be good if you had the car's VIN number. good luck.

onv 707v was last taxed on 01/03/1993. first registered on 17/03/1980. black capri. 2994cc. no longer on the road sorry.

Due to the new privacy laws, this may no longer be possible. If you have the VIN, you can do a car fax and it will tell you is it was scraped or other history on it.

You need the VIN number, not the registration number. Take the VIN number to your local DMV and they can look it up.

dvla write to them and explain why you want to know they will either tell you or refuse to on the grounds of the reason you want to know
