is it just me or are some americans happy to be stupid. y dont americans try harder to be more intellectual so that when they meet ppl from other cultures or religions thay can communicate comfortably, and show that they understand that the woeld has many types of ppl/

they will. the united states will dissolve within our lifetime. it is a matter of precedent. once they are a jumble of smaller independent states they will have to adapt and therefore learn not to present such a smug ignorant face to the rest of the world

Are you seriously questioning my intelligence when you use the term "ppl"?
There are a lot of Americans that are extraordinarily intelligent, well-rounded and cultured...and just like anywhere else in the world, there are many that are not. Stop making generalizations about Americans. The phrase "Ignorance is Bliss" goes for people all over the world, and was not just made for some Americans.

What is it with people alwas bashing americans.
What the heck?.. I lived in Germany for 15 years ok? I've travelled A LOT around the world.. so I'm very open minded, trust me. But I still don't get it, look.. if you all don't like America and what we have to offer, then stay away.
We don't want people who don't like us. I never met an american before who started bashing a European or an Asian. come on! I know many who just shut their mouths if they don't know something about that particular religion or culture. Jees man, I'm sick of hearing peoepl bash America.
Why don't people complain about the brits and their tea time? and their really crooked bad teeth? why dont people talk badly about germans? andhow stiff they are?
Why dont people bash italians? they're friggin patriots!
NOOOO! but if we act a little different to all the others people start complaining. COME ON.. You know how many ignorant people I've met in the world? there are stupid, dumb, ugly, fat, happy, nice, polite, dull people ALL OVER THE WORLD.
you cant just stereotype a place and say 'this is the way it is there' WE'RE all humans ok? meaning, we are all different.
The United States Of America has such a diverse and broad field in one state alone!.. how in the world would u generalize New York?.. one of the most ethnic and multi-cultural places in America. You can't compare PEOPLE.. you cant!
there are ignorant ones, dumb ones, plain dumb ones, very smart people, intelectuals.. u cant compare ok?...
Every country has its good and bad sides.

We used to challenge our kids in school and set goals, but, due to parents who don't do their job, wont let the school do theirs, kids today just have to show up at school and will usually pass.
We are creating a couple of generations or morons who, don't have knowledge, common sense and a very real problem about being lazy.
Until and unless parent get involved and push their kids, we are doomed. I had to pass all kinds of tests and bench marks when I went to school. Today, States are failing badly with their grades. This is something we should not be proud of, but, companies need smart employees, and if they cant find people who can do the job, then they move to another country or hire outside of this country.
We need to get back to the basics of education.

Americans are too busy working and paying taxes so that the rest of the world can eat and have medical care....how much help is your country giving to other countries? Maybe we are tired of helping everyone else and can't understand why they are not doing more to help themselves.

Some of us have learned the Bible. What else do you want us to know? Man has very little to offer this world. I prefer to love people instead of conforming to their ways.

I agree with you but hopefully the racism and ignorant people are a minority. I agree it makes the US look small minded and horribly racist. But I believe its a handful of frustrated white kids with nothing to do and school hasnt started thats if they attend that is.
