All cars manufactured today accept the "anti-freeze" products that are on the market.
Some manufactures might recommend a specific product but that is a mere marketing ploy.
Just read the recommended mixture for your particular climate and never use pure anti-freeze without a water mixture...it will freeze.

I will assume you mean engine coolant reservior, so you would use the recommended mix of antifreeze and water. I don't know if Rovers use any special type of coolant, but there are a few different types out there, so be sure to use the right kind. Take a look at it to see what color it is-provided it's not all rusty, it should either be green, orange or red and be transparent for the most part.

a 50-50 mixture of anti-freeze and distilled water. Tap water will do, if you don't want to get the distilled water. I use Prestone, but any name brand will work. i don't believe that they use the long lasting coolant, so just get the regular antifreeze.

liquid coolent--since it is a Rover a high maintence vehicle better ask the dealer--and have him check the proper level...
