I don't buy milk by the liter, but by the half gallon. (I only have room in my 'fridge for the half. The rest of the thing is full of beer!) It costs, as of today $2.62. (If you get the gallon bottle, it's $3.99.) And a loaf of the store brand bread, the cheapest kind, is $1.29.
Sounds like things are a bit expensive over there! And here I was grumping about what I pay. Good luck, and long life to you. Ciao!

Milk as far as a litre goes is about $3.75 depending upon what kind of milk...organic is more exppensive and has NO hormones to break down our immune systems.....soy is good for you, and rich....so I actually prefer soy milk" powdered" for me, it lasts forever and is a creamy vanilla taste, and that is about $7.00 a box and last a long time,....bread on the other hand is anywhere from $0.98 cents to several dollars in a bakery. the day old bread store is fabulous. You can there get several loaves for $1.00!!!!!!! Great for cooking bread puddings and such!!! And croutons!!!!! And stuffing...much of this can be frozen and is as good as the day it is made if handled right. It really all evens out. Were i you I would check online for soy powdered milk and get a breadmaker...it is pennies on the dollar and yo ucan make any kind that you like!!!!!! I love soda bread, it is light, and with my bread slicer, I love my slices thin....I know my ingredients are natural......VOILA!!!!!!! I beat he odds every time on those to very important staples!!!!!!
Great question!!!!
