Can we see Reality clearly and in focus if we 'color' it with our feelings?

There is a point to be sad about a reality that can not be changed. If it helps to heal your soul, then be sad about it, grieve in the way you have to, and when you're ready, pick up and move on. Don't stay there too long, but at least give yourself the time to come to terms with that aspect of your life.

Be sad - debate the problem inwardly and maybe ask others for help in understanding the reality - learn from it - then go on with life! Don't waste time trying to change the unchangeable!

I totally disagree. If you have a death of a loved one, that is a reality that can't be changed. Being sad and grieving is only normal. It would take a very cold and heartless person not to feel this emotion.

Yes you are right....... But what really happens may a times is that it is not the reality that bothers u it is the perception you have created about it really bothers you...... You keep on hanging on to that interpretetion of what happened.
Say for e.g. if your boss shouts at you the first day of your office, you form a opinion/ interpretion about your boss that he is not good. So whatever he does you shall look from that filter of yours.

There is always a reason for being sad.
Grieving is a natural part of any healing process.

Your mind and heart will know when it is time to move on. Eric, being unhappy for too long will wither you inside - DO NOT let that happen to you.

Reality is a relative term and hence it is to be understood in changed circumstances.

An emotion that can't be controlled, so there's no point fighting against feeling sad
