First thought, "Oh my God, why this person?" Other than that I don't really think anything would change between us. They are telling you because they want to be honest with you, most are not looking for pity.

If I didnt know the person and they were at a party or someplace social and they came out with I HAVE LUPUS then I would probably turn and walk away laughing honestly, cause that is not something you just come out and say to just anyone! If it was someone I do know and was a friend or maybe a possible girlfriend, I would listen and be there for them and do what I can to ease there issue!

Share immediately where to get another opinion for treatment of lupus. Likewise, share the best method like via food supplement to combat this illness... No time is wasted... Then follow-up result and pray

I don't really know what is is, but I do know that it is a sickness. And I would want someone to pray for me if I were sick. So, my first impression would be to pray for them a healing.
