Some consider the number 13 to be an unlucky number, while others consider it to be lucky.
The fear of the number 13 dates back to the time when Jesus had his Last Supper. The Last Supper contained 13 disciples {including Jesus} and since Jesus was betrayed by Judas {the thirteenth disciple} the fear of the the number 13 began. The fear of 13 is called Triskaidakaphobia {I don't think I spelt it right}
Some consider the number 13 to be lucky. For Aztecs and Mayans of Central America and also for China. Buddhists pay homage to 13 Buddhas and the Orthodox and the Jewish prayerbook holds 13 principles of faith.

its an unlucky number for some people. Sometimes sybolizez th number of badluck. Apollo 13, Room 13, no. 13 on Elm St. etc.
