This is part of my chemistry homework. Pls tell me how with details included and also explain any 'difficlut' chemistry lingo used. thx

There are two ways.
1. Add universal indicator solution, or measure the pH with a meter. If the pH is 6 - 3, it's a weak acid. if it's 2 - 0, it's a strong acid.
2. Add magnesium ribbon to a solution of the acid,. If it fizzes fast, it's a strong acid, but if it fizzes slowly, it's a weak acid. This is all about how many H+ ions the acid is actually providing when it dissolves in water.

get a piece of litimus paper, usually in strips, if it turns bright red, then its highly acidic, if it goes to a dark blue, then its a base, or something like that

drink it - if it burns through your throat its strongly acidic, if it just gets a bit hot its a milder acid. Now do your homework yourself. Love Teacher Mikey.

Litmus paper, or universal solution. This can be made at home by boiling red cabbage (universal solution).
