The sad thing is, both the McCanns LOVE the media spotlight (so long as they agree with what is being printed). What we all want is concete info. from the police not these silly stage -managed pics portraying them as big celebrities. ...all smiles and streaked hair !

How can they ask the child to be brave when god knows what is happening to her. I wish they had told madeleine that they regretted leaving her and her brother and sister alone for the whole of the holiday. I really do think that the McCanns should be grateful that only one child went missing that night for an abductor could have taken all three he had the time to. My thoughts are with Madeleine I feel so sorry for that little girl. But my feelings of blame are shifting back towards Robert Murat, he was there watching and saw everything that was happening. Happy Christmas Madeleine wherever you are.

This is all just too shameful. Had I been the one who'd left my child unattended, you can bet, without doubt that my other children would be in protective custody and my husband and I would either be incarcerated ourselves or, being under suspicion, be under surveilance . And you can be certain that we would NOT be on the front page every day!
The best way to find Maddy is to get quiet and go low key, not to stop searching, just stop shouting it from the rooftops.

The Mccann's have contacts in high places, and make use of them. Although they're not doing themselves any favours at the moment, the best thing they could do would be to come home and keep a low profile. Many people are sick of the celebrity chasing Mccann's.

The McCanns will be on every front page when they get back to Britain and it will start all over again.I am just not sure of the response they will receive. Some of it may be positive ,but they will also be surrounded by negativity. Then there will be an investigation.Shamboo well he is an anesthetist.

Anytime a child goes missing it isi big news. Even if the parents were neglectful to leave three very young children alone we still have one that is missing and sometimes keeping her picture or her families in the spotlight will make people who know something come forward.

I read something on teletext the other day about a mother and her child shot dead at their home. I've not heard any more about that story, yet this gets on to the front page? This has nothing to do with FINDING Maddie, so why is it important?

They are not on the front page every day. They are not even in the papers every day. Don't exaggerate.
They have embarked on a campaign to publicise their daughter's disappearance in the belief that it might help to find her. This means press and TV coverage. If the editors didn't think it was what their readership would want to read, they wouldn't print it.

I just hope they find her soon, whether good news or bad news. My sister went missing in February and the not knowing is the worst part. You get so you want any news, just so the matter is not on-going.
I can understand the family wanting to be in the papers all the time, they don't want people to forget the situation and not keep an eye out for something suspicious. The newspaper editors keep putting them on the front page because it sells papers. There are a lot of people wanting to follow the case, so the editors will make the most of it.
