been ttc for 4 months, period not been heavy at all, in fact it has been very light with no pain. last month I spotted mid cycle, period was due last tuesday and I have had no sign of it. Had all the pms symptoms then everything just seemed to stop. had sex last night and bleed bright blood and thought period was here at last but have had no blood since. I am frustrated and upset, want to know what is going on. have any of you had this and discovered what the cause was?
I am 34, have a four year old, never been on the pill or medication and have had scan to rule out any cysts etc. Am thinking of seeing private gyne again instead of going through NHS and sorting this out asap so I can have my baby.
any ideas/help would be welcome. thank you.

hi there you could have something called secoundery infertilly, as in you might have trouble conceiving this time round, or it could be nothing and your stressing and thats whats making your periods out.
i would warn you it can be very expesive if you you do go private i'd suggest carry on trying for a few more months then if nothing happens go to the dr and get refered properly it also depends of how old you are if your getting past 35 i'd suggest getting refered now as it can take a few months for all the tests, and the sooner the better.

through to the gyno they will do all the normal tests if they all come back okay they could just give you sometime like clomid that will give your eggs a bit of a boost.

also i was going to suggest that you might of had polysistic ovary syndrome as you have irrgegulat periods but if youve had a scan recently it's ulikely.

good luck x

I think you should just give yourself some time. 4 months is not a very long time to TTC. Go easy on yourself enjoy life and your husband and wait and see !!

Good luck!!
